How bizarre...
She means "shabby chic", Jejune. I chose to interpret shabby in the "shoddy, not the best" kind of way and make a pun while mocking poor use of English.
Bugger it, enough semantic playing, I'm sticking to taking the piss out of crochet from now on. ;)
