For the woman who has everything

It's so hard to find something new to knit out of scraps AND for the woman who has everything. Thank heavens Felieke van der Leest has solved the problem.

OMFG. I didn't get the scale at first, and thought they were dildo covers! I don't know which is worse... LOL! They are kinda cute, I suppose. I like the devil one.

I checked out her gallery of objects and developed a strong need to have a few. Maybe I should just add a whimsy to each piece I knit.
Cheers Gillian

Tampons aren't made of materials that get cold (fortunately enough). What we need is a worldwide movement to knit speculum warmers (which would need to cover the plastic bags in which they're wrapped).

Actually, I went to one clinic where they had put handknit stirrup socklettes on the examining table. In the midst of all the Brazil-the-movie technological scary stuff, something that was made by human hands with humane ideas at the core was welcome indeed.

I too didn't pick up that they were tampon covers at first. And you know what? I could almost conceive of the idea of making them to just learn how to make something that small. but then I thought better of it!
